Schedule Changes!Posted Thursday, September 10, 2009 by S Field As we all have experienced, the season schedule is likely to change from time to time and this year the time has come a little earlier.
First off, pay attention to the notice posted by Coach Barry about details for this Saturday's Big Red Invitational. The bus leaves the school at 8AM...so get there early so bus can leave on time. Note the expected start times for the different groups too...10:00am - Freshman Boys 2500m, 10:15am - Freshman Girls 2500m, 10:35am - Div II Varsity/JV Girls 5000m and 11:35am - Div II Varsity/JV Boys 5000m. There is a video tour of the course on Armorytrack.com which is linked from this site. Get to know this course as it will be the site of the County Championships later in the season. Other changes... The League Championship will now be hosted by Sleepy Hollow at their course in Rockwood Hall Park on October 13th...details have been put into the schedule here on our website. On the off chance that they can't get the course, we will be hosting the meet at Irvington. The Westchester County Championships, usually run at Van Cortland have been moved to Somers HS and will now be run on October 31st (Saturday). Construction at VCP is a big problem...as is running a meet in the late afternoon to early evening. The move to Somers, at an earlier time, provides opportunity for earlier start time, along with more time between races. There will probably be additional changes in the schedule so please check in regularly.  |
